Els objectius són els següents: - Aconseguir poder tornar a tenir al riu Ter i a tots els seus afluents unes aigües clares i netes on poder gaudir de tots els beneficis que, un riu com el Ter, han donat al llarg de la història i pot continuar donant, a tots els ciutadans que habiten a la seva conca. - Aconseguir l’apropament de tota la societat a un medi natural tant especial com són els nostres rius. - Organitzar campanyes de sensibilització a tots els ciutadans, sobre els problemes de contaminació que pateix la conca del Ter. - Elaborar diferents estudis que serveixin de base per un millor coneixement del Ter a les persones amants del nostre riu i els afluents. - Ser centre de documentació per a l’estudi de temes relacionats amb el riu Ter i tota la conca, oberts a totes les persones interessades. - Elaborar o possibilitar l’elaboració de tot tipus de material que serveixi per millorar coneixement del riu Ter, col·leccions de llibres, edició de revistes, realització de vídeos,... - Denunciant, si s’escau, totes aquelles accions que contradiguin les normatives legals en matèria fluvial. Concretament abocaments incontrolats per part de qualsevol persona, empresa o institució. - Exigir a les diferents administracions (Ajuntaments, Consells Comarcals, Generalitat de Catalunya,...) el compliment de les diferents normatives sobre sanejament de les aigües a Catalunya. - Realitzar exposicions, xerrades, cursets, audiovisuals, relacionats amb el riu i adreçats a tothom.
