1. About GiveRadar
GiveRadar is a charity intelligence platform operated by Timmermans Media OÜ, registered in Estonia. GiveRadar aggregates publicly available charity data from government registries, tax authorities, and open data sources worldwide.
2. Acceptable Use
By creating an account or using GiveRadar, you agree to:
- Use the platform only for personal research, due diligence, or legitimate business purposes.
- Not engage in automated scraping, crawling, bulk downloading, or systematic extraction of data.
- Not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit GiveRadar data without written permission.
- Not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the platform beyond normal browser usage.
- Not attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls.
3. Prohibited Activities
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and legal action:
- Automated scraping or data harvesting of any kind.
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.
- Using GiveRadar data to build a competing product or database.
- Misrepresenting your identity when claiming a charity profile.
- Submitting false reviews or fraudulent red flag reports.
4. Data Accuracy
GiveRadar aggregates data from public sources and provides it "as is." While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness or correctness of any data. Integrity assessments and ratings are algorithmically generated from publicly available data and should not be the sole basis for donation decisions. Our integrity assessments measure operational transparency, financial health, and governance quality, not the actual impact or effectiveness of a charity's programs. For impact-focused giving decisions, we recommend consulting specialized effective-giving evaluators like GiveWell. Always verify important information directly with the charity. Organizations that believe information about them is inaccurate may submit a correction request by contacting us at [email protected].
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. GiveRadar reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
6. Charity Claims
Organizations may claim their profile on GiveRadar to update their information. By claiming a profile, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of that organization. False claims may result in legal action.
7. Intellectual Property
The GiveRadar platform, including its design, integrity assessment algorithms, data aggregation methods, and original content, is the intellectual property of Timmermans Media OÜ. Individual charity data originates from public sources and is presented under fair use.
Certain GiveRadar materials are released under open licenses as part of our public-benefit mission: our methodology documentation, data schemas, and research outputs are published under CC-BY 4.0, and any reference code we publish is released under the MIT License. These open licenses apply only to specifically designated materials and do not extend to the charity data, the live API, the platform software, or any other materials not explicitly marked as open-licensed. Attribution to GiveRadar / Timmermans Media OÜ is required when using open-licensed materials.
8. Limitation of Liability
Timmermans Media OÜ shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of GiveRadar, including but not limited to donation decisions made based on information on this platform.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tallinn, Estonia.
