The objective of the program is to contribute to increase political empowerment and rights in Palestine for women and youth. This is also an ongoing program with good results, and the budgeted amount is just marginally more than for the previous cooperation period. CIS implements the program in Togo and Burkina Faso through their partner The Institute for Governance and Development (IGD), including forwarding of funds. CIS has an agreement which includes forwarding of funds, with KIC which implements the program in Uganda with their local staff there and in Kenya through the Oslo Center. For the next cooperation period CIS wants to expand EWIP to also include Ghana (with new partner LeadAfrique International (LA) and Tanzania (KIC through Oslo Center). CIS partnership with PWWSD in Palestine is governed by an agreement and includes forwarding of funds. Sida's agreement is with CIS which implements the programs, including forwarding of funds. No deviation from the agreement templates will be necessary.
