We help nearly 30 million children and their families to overcome poverty and the underlying conditions that prevent them from achieving their potential. Childfund was founded in 1938. We work in partnership with children, families and their communities to create lasting change. We support long-term community development, promote children's rights and child protection, prepare for natural disasters and respond to humanitarian emergencies. Each member organization retains its own distinct identity and governance by national boards.
