Where the country data comes from
Every country page on GiveRadar is built from that country's official charity register, not from a directory or a scrape of donation pages. Where a government publishes a register, we import it in full and keep it in sync. Where none exists, the page says so instead of filling the gap with guesses.
That is why coverage is uneven. Some registers publish audited financial filings every year, others publish only a name and a registration number. Each country page shows which of the two you are looking at, so you always know how much weight the figures can carry.
Why the numbers are not always comparable
Charity law differs in every jurisdiction. What counts as a registered charity in one country may be an association, a foundation or a trust in another, and reporting thresholds vary just as much. GiveRadar maps every register to one shared set of categories so organizations can be browsed side by side, but it never rewrites the underlying figures. The source and the filing year are shown on every number.
Learn more about the regions we cover
