Our organization was named in honor of our Granny midwives who paved the way for birth communities & birth professionals today. Our Granny Midwives acted as both community healers and baby catchers to the communities not accepted by society. They were the life line for black and rural communities. As their profession was colonized we carry on the legacy while ensuring BIPOC birthing people have a safe space as we fight the Black Infant & Maternal Health Crisis and the challenges or transitioning through the penal child welfare and transitional housing systems.

Program started servicing public 09/22 and provided 30 rides by end of year. Annual Black Maternal Health Fair: The Annual Black Maternal Health Fair is our annual fundraiser and attempt to bring provide the community with elite black perinatal health resources. Our goal is to connect people to vital resources to decrease the Black Maternal and infant health crisis. 75 participants, One Black student Midwife won a $2,000 scholarship, $,1000 homebirth fee was paid to a certified midwife to a participants homebirth, $500 grant to cover cost of a doula for another participant. Milk on The Move: Milk on the Move is a program curated specifically for Parents who are experiencing homelessness. This program was originally created to support lactating people so they could continue breastfeeding their child throughout experiencing homelessness. It has expanded to providing diaper bag and supplies that have been researched to create safe care for children on the go. We had ten mothers attend last year with 2 being Spanish Speaking.
