We hope that some good can from the tragic loss of Kirsty with our charity by being able to support other families unfortunate to find themselves in similar terrible circumstances as we are. 'the advancement of health','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage' 4 The organisations purposes are the advancement of health and wellbeing, and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, by providing support and assistance to those primarily from Scotland but also those from other parts of the UK who suffer a bereavement in respect of a death that occurred outwith the UK. and (without prejudice to that generality) in particular by: 4.1 The provision of assistance in accessing counselling and support services, and any other practical support, for individuals and families affected by the death of someone who died outwith the UK. 4.2 The provision of support (financial or otherwise), and assistance in accessing such support provided by others, to individuals and families in respect of the practical arrangements for funerals (including, if appropriate, returning the deceased to their home country) of those who have died outwith the UK. 4.3 The provision of support (financial or otherwise), and assistance in accessing such support provided by others, to individuals and families in respect of the investigation of, or any criminal or civil proceedings in respect of, a death that occurred outwith the UK (whether any such investigation or proceedings takes place in the UK or elsewhere).
