This will be aimed largely at orphaned children, being looked after by their, a) elderly or ill grandparents, b) extended families struggling to provide adequate care. To achieve this objective, MOMMY will closely work with communities to establish Halfway Houses to provide at least one decent meal per day educate and raise awareness on safeguarding children and promote the reading culture amongst the children. c) Additionally, MOMMY will strive to alleviate poverty by improving living conditions, building community facilities and services for communities and work towards good relations amongst all members of the community, specifically prohibiting any conduct which discriminates or harasses on grounds of race, religious beliefs, disability, political affiliation or sexual orientation. Community participation, involvement and ownership will be the under-pining drivers in order to achieve these objectives.
