gathers consumers, provides them with information on market phenomena and educates them on their obligations and rights on its own or through the help of the Regional Community of Consumers’ Associations, through authorised laboratories in the country, and, where appropriate and abroad, conducts subsequent examinations of products placed on the market, conducts comparative tests of products and publishes results through the media, provides assistance to the damaged consumer and to the trader, keeps records of consumer applications received and procedures taken to resolve them and other activities set out in Article 11 of the Statute.
