The winner of the concerto competition is invited back to New Orleans to peform with the New Orleans Civic Symphony. In addition to the performance and lesson opportunities, students are invited to attend the Guest Artist Recitals of the New Orleans Keyboard Festival Guest Artists. The New Orleans Piano Institute is MASNO's main educational component. OTHER EVENTS AND SALON CONCERTS BACHTOBERFEST: Bachtoberfest is an outdoor annual event held in October that celebrates the music of J.S. Bach and other German composers. LE PETIT SALON SERIES: Featuring artists in small, intimate settings around New Orleans, Le Petit Salon Series was begun during the covid pandemic as a way to continue offering support and performance opportunities to artists and audiences alike in venues that could more easily and readily adhere to the continually changing pandemic guidelines. All concerts are performed lived for an in-person audience while also being live-streamed and free to view on MASNO's social media platforms for those who could not attend in person.
