Poskytování sociálních a zdravotních služeb lidem s neurodegenerativním onemocněním.; Za výše uvedeným účelem ústav realizuje tyto činnosti: 1. poskytovat základní a odborné sociální poradenství zejména lidem s roztroušenou sklerózou a jejich rodinám; 2. poskytovat terénní, ambulantní a pobytové služby lidem s neurodegenerativním onemocněním (pečovatelská služba, osobní asistence, sociální rehabilitace, chráněné bydlení, denní a týdenní stacionář, odlehčovací péče, domovy pro osoby se zdravotním postižením a to v souladu se zákonem 108/2006 Sb., o sociálních službách, ve znění pozdějších předpisů); 3. poskytovat další fakultativní služby souvisejících s hlavními terénními, ambulantními a pobytovými službami (pronájem kompenzačních pomůcek, doprava); 4. pořádat vzdělávací akce, nabízet možností trávení volného času a odpočinku, poradenství v oblasti pracovního uplatnění; 5. poskytování zdravotní péče všeobecné sestry, domácí péče, hospicová péče, paliativní péče (zejména dětským pacientům s nervosvalovým onemocněním a jejich rodinám); 6. založení kamenného dětského hospice ve spolupráci s dalšími poskytovateli sociálních a zdravotních služeb; 7. vyvíjet činnosti směřující k pomoci nevyléčitelně nemocným, umírajícím, jejich rodinám a pozůstalým; 8. umožnit důstojné umírání nemocným včetně pomoci při řešení jejich fyzických, psychických, sociálních a spirituálních potřeb, dále podporu, poradenství a pomoc blízkým umírajících včetně pomoci při řešení jejich fyzických, psychických, sociálních a spirituálních potřeb; Posláním ústavu je podpora, pomoc a péče lidem zejména s neurodegenerativním onemocněním a jejich blízkým.
