The primary exempt purpose of the Ascension Foundation will be to focus more intentionally on health disparities and enhance our impact that could be scaled across multiple communities, both within and outside of our Ascension footprint. Ascension Foundation will seek to develop novel programs that disrupt the cycle of poverty and create new pathways to economic stability for families and communities in need; support the creation of a future healthcare workforce that better reflects the race, ethnicity and cultural mix of the country; and explore new partnerships and technologies that more quickly connect people to resources that address the social determinants of health.
