Given the non-existent dedicated spaces available for Black LGBTQ individuals, these monthly engagements allow individuals to meet and share common experiences and reinforce a sense of community while also being responsive to the pandemic and social distancing requirements. As social distancing orders are modified, events will again be held in a public space with the intent of increasing the comfort level of individuals to gather in public spaces. Scholarship Fundraiser: To increase scholarships for LGBTQ+ youth, a Covid-19 responsive fundraiser was held where attendees purchased meals which were delivered curbside. In past years, attendees had an opportunity to network at the fundraiser while donating to the scholarship fund. Former scholarship recipients provided updates on their educational pursuits and the importance of LGBTQ+ organizations providing support and mentorship. Attendees: 100
