Accomplished: Space obtained (donated by a member church). Submitted application for zoning approval as a Community Care Center (designation allows overnight guests in a church) in late 2019 (derailed due to COVID19). Zoning approval received February 2021. Submitted application to County Planning & Building Use office for permit to modify building as required by the Fire Marshal, March 2021. County had not acted on application by end of fiscal year. .From 07.01.2020 through 06.30.2021, during the months of November through mid-April, we CSOH served 45 men with shelter and/or case management. Four (4) clients found permanent housing and six (6) clients entered into rehabilitation services. CSOH operates a men's 16-bed homeless shelter for Baltimore County. Our primary goal is providing a warm space for men experiencing homelessness to spend the night during the cold weather; helping these men to obtain social assistance services available through the County, including obtaining the necessary identification required to make application for these services; and, helping these men to move into permanent housing or to reconnect with their families which should lead to housing with the family.
