The foundation aims to support the families of the remaining miners who have died as a result of accidents at work, mining disabilities and other mining families, who are in difficulty for various reasons, especially those in need of immediate support. 2. The aim of the Foundation's action for the benefit of the persons referred to in paragraph 1 is also to: -to integrate and reintegrate people at risk of social exclusion, -to protect and promote health, including medical activities within the meaning of the Act of 15 April 2011 on healing activities.

Celem fundacji jest materialne wspieranie rodzin pozostałych po górnikach, którzy ponieśli śmierć w wyniku wypadków przy pracy, inwalidów górniczych i innych rodzin górniczych, znajdujących się z różnych powodów w trudnej sytuacji życiowej, zwłaszcza będących w niedostatku lub potrzebujących doraźnego wsparcia. 2. Celem działania fundacji na rzecz osób ,o których mowa ust.1 jest ponadto: -prowadzenie integracji i reintegracji zawodowej i społecznej osób zagrożonych wykluczeniem społecznym, -ochrona i promocja zdrowia, w tym działalności leczniczej w rozumieniu ustawy z dnia 15 kwietnia 2011 r. O działalności leczniczej(t.j. Dz.u. Z 2015r.poz.618 z późn.zm.), -promowanie zatrudnienia i aktywizacji zawodowej osób pozostających bez pracy i zagrożonych zwolnieniem z pracy, -promowanie wypoczynku dzieci i młodzieży, -promowanie kultury i sztuki w szczególności dorobku artystycznego, ochrony dóbr kultury i dziedzictwa narodowego, -promowanie działań przeciwko uzależnieniom i patologiom społecznym, -promowanie i organizacja wolontariatu.
