Mission

Heart of the valley birth & beyond 501(c)(3) (hvbb) serves pregnant and parenting families across linn, benton, lincoln, lane, polk, and marion counties. Since 2012, hvbb's mission has been to improve health equity and the well-being of pregnant and parenting families and their babies in the mid-willamette valley through advocacy, education, resource coordination, research, and the provision of direct services. We aim to decrease maternal and infant health inequities that begin at birth by providing culturally, socially, and linguistically matched doula care to the most underserved families in our community. We are committed to building community-based solutions to address the maternal health crisis in the united states and we are dedicated to sharing our experiences with families and communities striving for similar outcomes. A healthy community begins with a healthy birth, and we are committed to fostering this through comprehensive support and care for pregnant people and families.
