You can verify Chatsworth House Trust in several ways. First, search the Charity Commission Register at https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/ - every charity registered in England and Wales appears here with its registration number, trustees, governing document, and filed accounts. Because this is a charitable company, you can also check its filings on Companies House (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/). Payroll Giving (Give As You Earn) lets you donate pre-tax through your employer.
Yes, Chatsworth House Trust is registered with the Fundraising Regulator (FR), the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Registration means the charity has committed to following the Code of Fundraising Practice and the Fundraising Promise, which set standards for honest, respectful, and transparent fundraising. Donors can complain to the FR if they believe a charity has breached the Code.

Comments about big profits being made, totally agree with. We had lunch with our dog with us in what can only be described as very second rate area, food quite good . Then moved onto the garden experience which was quite under whelming. £15.50 each was what we had read but did expect a senior discount but no! How many attractions don't ,offer this? Then the gardens themselves! Not spectacularly formal or a nice forest walk but somewhere between with loads and loads of slabs stacked on top of each other. not my idea of a pleasant day out. Garden price way out!

I ordered a Chatsworth afternoon tea gift voucher for friends, thinking it was for two. Our friends attended Chatsworth to use the voucher only to be told the voucher was for one person only! REALLY? Who charges £49.50 for one person, and does not make it crystal clear on the web page (states for one further down the page). The illustration gives you the impression that the voucher covers two persons, and the narrative on order states 'X1' which can be misconstrued as if you are simply ordering one voucher. C'mon Chatsworth, get your act together as I'm sure Trading Standards and the Advertising Standards Authority would have something to say about the way you are selling. I've now had to order another 'single' voucher for our friends as we did not disappoint them. Never again will we order from Chatsworth - complete rip off.

Chatsworth House is being destroyed with modern artWhen it is a country houseThe people want to see the Victorian styles and decor and that's what they come forThey should not be putting modern art in the house it is sickening.

The country fair was terribly organised. It was absolutely packed solid and was horrendous. The Marshalls were bossy and rude and obnoxious. Will not be going again for sure. To add to our overheated misery, it took us 2 hours just to leave the awful place.

we queued for 1 hr to get into the Chatsworth County Fair 2/9/23 paid £28 each to get in had are 2&6 grandkids with us to find out all the kids rides were CASH ONLY which we had none of when we enquired why they were not using card machines they said that the WIFI was down and the company that Chatsworth had paid to look after the WIFI had gone home we were also told there was cash machines which we queded up for over 1 hr in blazing sunshine for all 3 cash machines to have run out of CASH my grand kids were now quite up set so we had are picnic and left after dinner totally dissapointed with the whole affair wont be going back again

Tonight we attended the fireworks at Chatsworth House. We won’t go again. The tickets cost £19 each. The bonfire was small, the so called spectacular fireworks display was decidedly underwhelming and short and ended half an hour early. The music was awful, the so called Halloween entertainment was non existent. The food expensive (a small burger £10 !!). I love Chatsworth, but the whole evening was boring and expensive.

Very disappointed with the lack of Christmas lights in the garden and no Christmas music but weird off putting tones, all my family were deflated by the lack of Christmas spirit and a small cup of mulled wine £6 ! and £18 each to park and see nothing as the market closed at 6pm so we saw 10 mins of the market before it all closed. Very disappointed and won't be going again.

I can't fault the christmas market always love going. There is just one massive problem PARKING £28 to park just for a few hours. Chatsworth you should be ashamed of yourselves, its greedy and disgusting that you think its okay to charge that. My other half and stepdad had to miss out today just so some of us could go by being dropped off and picked up.So much for helping and giving at Christmas
Trustpilot
We paid around £32 per ticket which covered parking/ entrance to house and market. So well organised and every staff member representing Chatsworth were friendly, efficient and helpful. We managed to get a snack and coffee at lunch time which cost around £30 for three of us which wasn’t unexpected. We loved the house with it’s beautiful decorations and had fun looking around the market. A big shout out to the lady who had knitted 1000 poppies to sell to raise money for the British Legion. Can’t comment about the lighting in the garden as left before dark. Also loved the live acts who performed in the market. A really great day for three generations of my family.

Positives: The Christmas Market was nice to walk around with a good variety of stalls. The garden lights ok and the projected images on the outside of the house good. Negatives: The day started by getting wet feet (despite wearing suitable footwear as advised) following the purpose laid footpath which shot up streams of muddy water without warning as people walked across it. The house itself. Very disappointed in the Xmas decorations. No clear theme, Advent Palace basically consisted of a Xmas tree trail with numbers 1 - 24 scattered about, a large cracker and some Xmas stockings suspended from the ceilings. The trees were pretty but it all seemed rather sparse. The highlight was the projected silhouette of an elf that appeared in few places. Felt the entrance price was a lot for what we got. Was expecting to have a magical Xmas experince suitable for all ages, as given by Castle Howard last year, this was far from that.
