Mhs Homes Limited is a charitable company limited by guarantee, the most common incorporated form for UK charities. It is registered with both Companies House and the Charity Commission, and must file annual accounts with both regulators. Directors (who are also charity trustees) have limited liability.

You can verify Mhs Homes Limited in several ways. First, search the Charity Commission Register at https://register-of-charities.charitycommission.gov.uk/ - every charity registered in England and Wales appears here with its registration number, trustees, governing document, and filed accounts. Because this is a charitable company, you can also check its filings on Companies House (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/). Second, check whether the charity's annual return and accounts are up to date - the Commission flags charities with overdue filings. Third, look for the Fundraising Regulator badge on the charity's website, which signals voluntary compliance with the Code of Fundraising Practice.

Contact Mhs Homes Limited directly for current donation methods. UK charities typically accept online card payments, direct debit, and bank transfer. Many also use platforms such as JustGiving or Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). If you are a UK taxpayer, make sure to tick the Gift Aid box: it lets the charity reclaim 25p from HMRC for every pound you give at no extra cost to you. Higher-rate taxpayers can claim back the difference between basic-rate and their marginal rate through Self Assessment. Payroll Giving (Give As You Earn) lets you donate pre-tax through your employer.

Donations to Mhs Homes Limited are eligible for Gift Aid if you are a UK income-tax or capital-gains-tax payer. Gift Aid adds 25% to your donation at no cost to you (the charity reclaims basic-rate tax from HMRC). Higher-rate and additional-rate taxpayers can also claim back the difference through Self Assessment or by adjusting their PAYE tax code. Gifts of shares, property, or land to charity are free of Capital Gains Tax and can be deducted from your income for Income Tax purposes. Legacy gifts (in your will) reduce the value of your estate for Inheritance Tax and can lower the IHT rate from 40% to 36% if you leave at least 10% to charity.

Mhs Homes Limited is based in Chatham. The Charity Commission for England and Wales (CCEW) is the primary regulator. Scotland has its own regulator (OSCR), and Northern Ireland has the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (CCNI). A charity registered with the CCEW may operate across the whole of the UK or internationally.

Mhs Homes Limited was first registered in 2018, making it approximately 8 years old. UK charities must file an annual return with the Charity Commission to remain on the register. A long registration history generally indicates sustained operations and continuous regulatory compliance.

Poor management and highly incompetent landlord.

Only apply for a MHS home if you are at your lowest point in your life, so desperate that you don’t mind living in an unsafe squalor. As soon as you move in to one of their properties you are on your own, they wipe their hands of you and their property. You won’t hear a peep out of them unless they want or need something from you. Do not think for one minute they’re there to help you…because they are certainly not!!!For partly being a social housing association that are supposed to be there to help people that obviously need some kind of help, they’re a million miles from being that. POOR management through out MHS is clearly filtering down throughout the organisation. Terrible communication within their staff is a struggle and a losing battle for tenants to deal with. Not only are they breaking health & safety laws, they also are fully aware of that fact.Tenants are having to take matters in their own hands by writing to Parliament, and also going to the press to report misconducts most tenants have to face on a daily basis.People with health conditions are living in mouldy infestations. Fire regulations are be broken throughout their properties with a major of their property not even having fire doors.Considering everything that is being reported throughout the past few years of people losing their lives to poor conditions, unsafe surroundings…You think they would be on the case immediately…but NO!Not one person at MHS will do what needs to be done for you, and they will constantly feed you with things they think you want to hear but obviously not do any of them.So please be aware of what is front of you when living in a MHS property.

Ive lived in hms properly for 2 years…

Ive lived in hms properly for 2 years near wainscot b2000 kent worse housing ever what you're about to read is all from same family. I've been racial abused told to go back to Scotland learn English. Followed. Food throwing out window over me while sitting in front garden. Been videoed in my bedroom. Farm silage all over communal area same family all alcoholics drink and drive every day all caught above on cctv shown to mhs but nothing is ever done. The tenant sleeps in living room while her husband and 19 year old trouble maker grandson sleeps in same bedroom as grandad. Weirdos. So if you become a tenant you get zero support try a different housing association

★★★★★ Caretaker John

Would just like to say I’m a private tenant that lives on Chatham Grove and it is such a pleasure to come home from work on a Friday and see how immaculate the Place is after John the caretaker has been around. It’s just a shame. No one looks after it because come Saturday it looks like a dump again. John obviously takes pride in his work and should be commended as it’s not a very nice job to start The day withMany thanks, John

The worst place I've ever lived in my…

The worst place I've ever lived in my 38 years. I ended up in hospital with a permanent medical condition because they wouldn't fix a simple door that was waking me up several times a night. The only response I get is sorry it's frustrating for you but we can't do anything about a door lol when we all know they could fix a door, it's not a difficult task but for MHS fixing a simple door is a monuments task that is totally out of their hands. I ended up in A&E and then referred to ambulatory emergency care because my body is now over producing adrenaline because of only getting 2 hours sleep a night because I live above the door. Not much to ask really when in consideration I now have a permanent medical condition caused by them not fixing a door lol but please be aware MHS homes will not help anymore with medical conditions and they seem to think it's funny. Please don't ever go for anything to do with MHS homes because they will let you down without any care for your personal well-being
