MAG is a humanitarian non-government organization clearing explosive remnants of war in current and former conflict zones. Established in the UK in 1989, its work has helped millions of people of conflict-affected communities in 68 countries around the world, giving them greater safety and opportunities to rebuild their lives, livelihoods and futures. MAG co-shared the Nobel Peace Prize for its contribution to the International Campaign to Ban Landmines which culminated in the signing of the Mine Ban Treaty in 1997.
