Fourteen tools, four jobs

Grouped by what you are trying to do. Eleven work without an account; claiming a charity, watchlists and the donation tracker need a free one so we can remember your charities.

What these tools can and cannot tell you

Every tool here draws from official government registries and tax authorities, with the source and retrieval date shown on each record. That makes some things clear and leaves others to your own judgment, and we would rather be honest about the line.

No tool on this page ranks a charity by how good it is. Charities cannot pay for better results, and nothing here is a recommendation to give.

What they show
Registration status straight from the official registry
Reported revenue and spending, exactly as filed
Officers and trustees, where they are published
The source and date behind every field
What they do not
Prove that a program works, or measure its impact
Mean a transparent charity is the best use of your money
Show anything a registry does not publish
Replace asking the charity your own questions
FAQ

Common questions about the tools

Are GiveRadar's tools free?

Yes. Every tool here is free, and the research tools work without an account. A free account is only needed where something is saved for you: watchlists, alerts, and the private donation tracker. Charities cannot pay for better results in any tool.

Which tools work globally?

The Charity Checker, Charity Finder, Compare, and the country and cause directories cover 7.9M+ nonprofits across 100+ countries. The EIN, 501(c)(3), Form 990, and executive-pay tools are United States specific, because those identifiers and filings are US-only.

Which tools require an account?

Only the account tools: watchlists, change alerts, and the donation tracker. Everything under Research charities is open and needs no login. Claiming a charity requires a free, verified account.

Where does the tool data come from?

Every tool draws from official government registries and tax authorities, including the IRS, UK Charity Commission, CRA, ACNC, and more, with the source and retrieval date shown on each record.

Can nonprofits correct their information?

Yes. Use Add a Charity for a missing organization, or Claim your charity to verify ownership and keep your profile, financials, and contact details up to date.

Are the tools available through the API?

Most tool data, including search, profiles, financials, and source provenance, is available through the GiveRadar REST API and MCP server. See API & data for plans, starting free.
