Die Stiftung Nord-Süd-Brücken fördert gemeinnützige Vereine aus Ostdeutschland und Berlin im Bereich Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und entwicklungspolitische Informations- und Bildungsarbeit. Neben der finanziellen Förderung und der fachlichen Qualifizierung der Vereine führt die Stiftung auch unterschiedliche Veranstaltungsformate durch, zu denen neben anderen Repräsentant*innen auch Fach-Politiker*innen der Bundesebene und die Leitung bzw. Arbeitsebene aus dem entsprechenden Ministerium (in der Regel das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung) eingeladen werden.
