About
The funds will be used to implement development cooperation projects supported by the Society and to provide humanitarian aid to Cuba. They will also be used to finance on-site procurement of medicines, raw materials, medical supplies and medical equipment, which will be delivered to Cuba primarily through the long-term partner MediCuba-Europa, and to support the rehabilitation and operation of the club’s relief and voluntary work sites (e.g. Las Tunas Children’s Hospital and other institutions, community projects).
Varat käytetään seuran tukemien kehitysyhteistyöhankkeiden toteuttamiseen ja humanitaarisen avun toimittamiseen Kuubaan. Varoillahankitaan mm. lääkkeitä, lääkkeiden raaka-aineita, terveydenhuollon tarvikkeita ja lääketieteellisiä laitteita, jotka toimitetaan Kuubaan ensisijaisesti seuran pitkäaikaisen yhteistyökumppanin MediCuba- Europa -järjestön kautta. Varoja käytetään myös Kuubassa paikan päällätehtäviin materiaalihankintoihin, joilla tuetaan seuran avustus- ja vapaaehtoistyökohteiden kunnostamista ja toimintaa (esim. Las Tunasin lastensairaala ja muut instituutiot, yhteisöprojektit). Varoja voidaan seuran hallituksen päätöksellä ohjata myös Kuuban viranomaisten tai kansainvälisten avustusjärjestöjen toteuttamaan humanitaariseen avustustoimintaan luonnonkatastrofien tai muiden kriisitilanteiden yhteydessä.
