We Are With You

Ironically this charity are absolutely not "with you" and have kept me on a waiting list / ignored me for over six months... They provided me with an initial assessment back in December 2020 (most likely at the cost of the NHS) then didn't provide any follow up care or updates as to whether they will be providing the CBT I required. An absolute shambles of a company who don't even have a contact number. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere if you're seeking mental health support.

I resigned from a managment post due to the dreadful behaviour of senior management in Scotland. Local service managers are fine but the hierarchy in Glasgow are on an ego trip. Barefaced lies to me and then ignored me when I tried to pursue this for answers. Exit interview a complete waste of time with no outcome. At least I only wasted 2 years with them. AVOID, unless you're unemployable elsewhere.

Following my initial complaint about the poor experience with WeAreWithYou Service, I received a phone call on the afternoon of 28th of February 2023.At this instance, I have completely lost hope in this service, as it seems like a complete waste of time. The lady that spoke to me said, that wearwithyou does not offer Trauma based CBT to victims of Domestic Violence and she was surprised that someone in their service had referred me that. She insisted that she was sorry and would facilitate staff training to address this and to avoid this mistake of wrong services being offered, to occur again.Firstly, Domestic Violence affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men, it is a very COMMON and not so strange occurrence. Most victims of Domestic violence experience Trauma, and a good percentage develop PTSD or Complex PTSD.In 2019, I was assessed by Think Action, now Wearewithyou and referred for Trauma based CBT which they "supposedly offered." Unfortunately I only had Talking therapy. Again, in 2022 I was referred again to Now WeAreWithYou, assessed and noted that I had high level trauma and in fact PTSD and required Trauma based counseling. It it laughable that a senior member and practioner rang me and CLAIMED that this is an error as they do NOT offer CBT to Domestic Violence victims EVENTHOUGH and indeed it is listed on their website as services offered. The woman that spoke to me INSISTED to convince me that it was an error and that the only CBT they offered was CBT for accidents victims and the likes but DEFINITELY NOT DV survivors. I am still struggling to wrap my head around what is going on here, why is a charity that is constantly used by the NHS and received a Total income of £53,842,081 from 81 government contract(s) and £7,522,449 from 31 government grant(s), offering services and listing services they claim not to offer. I have at least six names and still collating data from DV survivors that are STILL on this waiting list for CBT which I am now being told DOESNT

My child's school emailed us about partnering with this organisation. There were some red flags for me, so I emailed the company's admin last week but they did not respond. I then did a webchat with two separate advisers this week - the first refused to answer my questions and closed the chat and the second made off colour jokes about our faith, being very offensive to me.I emailed admin again to complain and to ask my questions once more but again they refused to answer with a simple yes or no.Basically, I wanted to know if they promulgated the use of, for example, mindfulness or yoga but they did not answer, despite being pressed. But upon trawling their website, it appears they do encourage mindfulness and meditation. Their refusing to answer me, speaks volumes.I do not feel that a CofE school should partner with this and other organisations doing the same thing.I understand there was an assembly about it. To the awake Christian, mindfulness, meditation etc. are anathema to the faith.My child's junior school started doing mindfulness without informing parents first. I soon got that knocked on the head when I found out. A CofE childrens' club did yoga without informing us first, I soon made my feelings known (the CofE lost the plot years ago in numerous ways and Justin Welby is well aware of my feelings on a number of his and his bishops' erroneous ways).One hears of 'Christian mindfulness', 'Christian yoga' but it's a case of slap the word Christian on it and it makes it okay. It doesn't. If one does have issues, then open the Bible and the answers will be there, no need for these suspect organisations.It is a fact that children who have been encouraged/coerced into doing mindfulness then DO experience mental issues, caused by the activity. These techniques, mostly with their roots in other philosophies and so called religions, are not to be encouraged - I could say more. You may think I'm a fruitcake but that is my firmly held belief and stance.

I had essentially zero issues with them for years, as realistically I made things rather easy for them, zero challenges, zero headaches, until a flight got delayed by 3 days and they decided to play god with medication they know I need, blaming everything and everyone for their response but themselves. My “key worker” all but suggested I sort myself out, team leader kept repeating “we’re not an emergency service”, like I’m asking him to send an ambulance to my house, basically zero accountability, zero care, zero consideration, zero effort, from people who are meant to be helping people either overcome their addictions or maintain sobriety.Clean for 11 years, on supplementary medication for 7 years plus, and these unprofessional admin people are happy leaving me without my medication for 5 days, medication I have taken daily for over 7 years, key worker even suggested that people in my shoes usually have to relapse to keep themselves from having severe withdrawals, utterly disgusting if you understand the risks that come with that, especially if you know as much about my life as these lot do, they literally have more data on me than the internet.Agencies/organizations like this one should not have this much power over patients’ lives, I would have never had this issue in London, never felt like I needed to convince anyone I was telling the truth, I was always treated based on my stellar record, something these lot didn’t take into account for even a few seconds.I wouldn’t trust these guys with something as important as a prescription you depend on, I will now do everything in my power to find an alternative provider, or solution; to people like these folks you’re always a druggie, someone beneath them, that deserves to suffer as they have done this to themselves, one size fits all, and people wonder why the rates of addiction are so high in the UK.I just want to make it clear to whoever is in charge of this “non-emergency” service, if anything happens to me in the 5

I've been on a methadone reduction plan for a few years.I have been let down by support workers on numerous occasions.Hopefully one day we are with you were actually with someone who needs you because you haven't been there for me. Which reinforces the negative influence in my life. my support worker would tell me she would help with pip...contact my gas and electric company as I'm stressed over accumulation of debt escalating. I was told I would get help getting a washing machine. Nobody helps me with anything....so "we are with you" is a joke

If I could give this service zero stars, I would.I was referred to this service by my GP, hoping for some genuine support with my mental health.I was given two separate services, which actually turned out to be the same service. The second referral led me right back to the same organisation, so my experience was exactly the same in both places - just under different names. This felt like being passed around in a loop with no real help or alternatives.Instead, I was faced with a frustrating and impersonal process that completely missed the mark.After calling the numbers provided, I was passed from one broken contact to another, ultimately being directed to an AI-driven website to self-refer.The questions on this platform, while perhaps well-intentioned, felt more focused on ideological factors than the real, urgent issues that I was hoping to address.It was all about pronouns, identity, race, and ethnicity, with little regard for how I was feeling as a 50-something man struggling with mental health.As a white male in my 50s, I felt like the system wasn't designed to help me, and it reinforced the belief that this service is more about ticking boxes for diversity and inclusion rather than actually providing support.I left the referral with zero help, feeling more isolated and unsupported than before. Men, particularly those in their 50s, face unique struggles when it comes to mental health, and this service, in my experience, does little to address those concerns.It seems that instead of focusing on providing real mental health support, the service is more focused on ideological conditioning and demographic profiling. It appears to prioritize certain communities while leaving others, like myself, without the help we need.If you're a man going through tough times, I’d advise looking elsewhere for real, compassionate help.
