★★★★★ Supportive, Kind & Genuine Academics.

I studied at Bangor University between 2018-2020 within the School of Law. I found the community a very supportive one in which it would not have been possible to pass my degree without the kind and genuine staff within the School of Law. It is a very small campus, so if you are looking for a traditional City lifestyle, then this may not be the place for you. However, if you want a university experience with the most extraordinary scenery, supportive academics and allowed the ability to flourish in your way, then I can highly recommended the Bangor experience.

A uni that assaults its students

Do NOT attend this university. They assault their own students and then try to get the assaulted students charged for assault for trying to protest peacefully. This happened recently to a student at a graduation ceremony and she was detained for 9 hours on top of this. What a disgusting place.

Morally Bankrupt…

Bangor University is a morally bankrupt institution that will go to extreme lengths to avoid accountability. They cut essential student support and academic jobs, while senior management pockets as much as possible from the University’s funds. If you ever have a serious complaint, prepare to be ignored, deceived, or stonewalled. Bangor engages in deliberate misrepresentation, withholds evidence, and manipulates complaint processes to protect itself at all costs. They also actively censor negative feedback online. If you post honest criticism on platforms like Twitter or The Student Room, they will hide your comments or get you banned—because The Student Room is funded by universities like Bangor to maintain their reputation. If you’re considering Bangor University—don’t. Choose an institution that actually values its students, rather than one that treats them as a problem to silence.

Stay far away from this University

Stay far away from this University - especially if you are considering any sort of online program.I joined the Online Chartered Banker MBA program over 3 years ago, and took 1 semester before switching to a more relevant program at a different university. I give them a phone call to explain, and they understood and did not inform about me needing to take any further action. 3 years later, I suddenly receive a notice from a debt collection company in my country threatening to destroy my credit score so that I cannot take any loans or mortgages, and threatening to send me to court if I do not come up with an exorbitant amount within 10 days. As I proceed to ask for evidence of this, the collection company has none. They have taken a debt without any evidence presented to them. It takes them over 2 months to get back to me, where I have the threat of a lawsuit hanging over my head, only for them to supply Bangor University's "evidence" - a screenshot of an internal system where it says my profile is deactivated but had, according to them, registered me for courses that I abandoned. There is no log file of me registering for the courses, nor any contract that I have signed with them. And with this, they believe me to owe them almost 4.000 GBP for studies that I have not taken, gained any advantage, or even declared to anyone that I had. They have spent 0 resources on me, and I have not attended any classes (as I didn't know I was signed up), they don't inform me of any further termination process when I talk to them, so that they can rack up interest and charge me 4.000 GBP 3 years later.I have attempted to contact Bangor University separately, and asked them to annul what is clearly a misunderstanding where they have suffered no cost and I have gained no advantage. They have refused to even answer me and have a dialogue as to how we ended up here - instead, they prefer to threaten ex-students with lawsuits if I don't succumb to the collection agencies threats. So, if y
