The staff here do an absolutely amazing job,They rescue and rehome an array of animals, which I think is outstanding considering Bleakholt is self funded. The Family Fun Days are well worth a visit and raise much needed funds, There is also a Cafe which sells some delicious cakes,a Gift shop & Free Parking. I have volunteered here in the past (before I had my baby) and the staff are welcoming and appreciative of your time. Just call in and fill in a volunteers form, make sure you take ID and something with your address on, you will be assess in a group as to what dogs are suitable for you to walk and given a card, if that's not for you, there are lots of other duties you can volunteer your time to here.

We've just recently adopted a dog from Bleakholt and the time & help we've received from Becki is nothing short of exceptional. She's been responsive every step of the way and is still providing ongoing support as and when needed, even after we've adopted our Dog. She cares a lot for all the animals at Bleakholt and it really shows. Becki couldn't have done more for us. Amazing animal rescue & made us glad we decided to adopt & not shop.
