★★★★★ I became unemployed and struggled to…

I became unemployed and struggled to pay my bills. I could not face opening letters or answering phone call’s . They ran a cap centre at my church. I spoke with Sam who ran it and she encouraged me to get in touch with cap head office. This I did and an appointment with Sam was arranged, she was amazing she went through my finances took away all my letters and told me not to worry. She advised me to tell any creditors that cap was dealing with my finances and I gave them caps number. After a couple of weeks or so she returned with a financial plan with budgeted for everything. I was advised that I would have to sell my house which I didn’t want to at first. Eventually I did sell my house but it took about eighteen months all the while cap negotiated with the mortgage lender and my creditors, interest was halted and following the sale of the house they got my debts reduced by approximately ten thousand pounds I became debt free and I have been able to purchase the house I am living I outright. My only regret is that I did not go to them sooner, they saved me so many sleepless nights. I would recommend them to anyone and I was so happy that they prayed for me.

★★★★★ Having suddenly become extremely poor

Having suddenly become extremely poor, a single mum with a mortgage I could no longer pay my mortgage, I sold my house and had to rent, over a two year period had to rely on my credit cards to live, it can happen to anyone. I was scared to open my door, open my letters or answer the phone, it was hell. I was introduced to CAP in Bolton, instantly i felt there was hope, a way out, inwas guided by a lady called Sam who held my hand through every step of the process, helped me with my children including curtains and a desk, I become debt free within a year, I am forever grateful and would highly recommend this service. Every person I spoke to showed compassion, I felt cared for and that I mattered. Thank you.

★★★★★ Life Saving.

Through a collection of unfortunate events, I found myself in a very tough place financially and mentally. I contacted CAP even though I am not a Christian and they brilliant. They did not judge or discriminate in anyway. They helped me so much I can honestly say without them I wouldn't be where I am today. Absolutely life saving people and organization. Thank you all.

★★★★★ CAP. More than debt advisers!!

I got in touch with CAP whilst visiting a food bank. I was put in touch with a gentleman called Alistair who was fantastic with advice on my debt. Unfortunately i could not sustain the mounting debts and had to go down the route of sequestration or, the minimal assets process. Alistair has become quite a confidante really and helps me with way more now and offers lots of advice on anything that may upset me in life. The guys at the head office are so friendly and also very knowledgeable in the service they’re providing and make you feel like there’s light at the end of the tunnel. They really do feel like the “arm around the shoulder” abs help you breath again. This gets said to much but i cannot thank Alistair at CAP and all the CAP staff at the head office. Please if anyone is reading this and feel stuck then please, please get in touch with CAP they WILL help you out.

★★★★★ Love love love cap!!!

Being a single mum and struggling with lifelong depression i got into a fair amount of debt. I was given caps number from a friend who had previously dealt with cap. I was nervous at first, i dont believe in god so i was worried. After finally doing it, i was contacted by Colin. Colin made me feel so much better than i have in years. He is good to talk to about anything. He doesnt descriminate or judge nor does he talk about religion or try to push religion. We adventually went for MAP, which Colin did all the hard work and it was a really easy ride. Even after, colin is still a great friend and still checks in sometimes to make sure i am ok. I couldnt reccommend CAP enough.

★★★★★ Im now Debt free thanks to CAP - Christians Against Poverty

I am 43 year old male and had got myself into a fair amount of debt, as a result my mental health declined and i became a lot more anxious and depressed as i didnt know what to do. I found out about CAP and contacted them reluctantly and left my details. A man named Colin gave me a call back and we arranged to meet at my house. He explained everything to me and i felt a weight lifting as i knew i now had someone to help me with this. I was worried at first but Colin knows his stuff and always answered all my question or any concerns i had, everything explained in detail every step of the way. I am now debt free and wouldnt/couldnt have done it without Colins help. I would also add i sometimes struggle meeting people but was always put at ease and never judged for mental health problems.Anyone struggling with debt please dont hesitate, Cap will be with you every step of the way.
