FFC - I lost my father to cancer in 2012 , I was without doubt the worst experience of my life , it left me hurt angry bitter and very depressed , I approached FFC as I wanted to take part and they gave me the honour of having a team named after my father , whilst playing through the tournament I could feel my father on my shoulder , I felt a tremendous weight lifted , it helped me through the toughest time of my life and at the same time raised over 50k that particular year , the games are run by a board who work tirelessly to make sure everything runs smoothly , to everyone involved with FFC I couldn't thank u enough

This is my third year playing in this event which helps raise money for this very worthy cause. It is very well organised and the experience on finals day is one I will never forget. The passion and nature in which people show during the tournament is fantastic. And this year we have had the privilege of having a team named after a young local mum who sadly lost her battle just over a year ago.

Basically a large group of people raising money for the local community of people struggling to get by when faced with cancer, every year we raise money with doing simple tasks like football tournaments, boxing event, skydiving, walks, marathons. FFC is unique as it’s gives out grants to those that have reached out and are struggling financially when faced with cancer, many grants are sent out the same day they are received. There are many people working daily behind the scenes who don’t take a penny for the efforts and hardwork they put, which is brilliant! Over the last 10 years FFC has raised over three quarters of a million pound which has gone straight back into local charity’s and hospices. The annual finals day for the Football tournament is fun for all the family with the main focus on people enjoying the many activities that go on, it literally has something for everyone whether it be a relaxing massage or the many inflatable play stations, to sitting pitch side enjoying a drink or two. I recommend FFC to everyone to get involved in as it truly is an exciting charity to help out.
