The Gaza Urban Agriculture Platform (GUPAP) originated from a project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by Oxfam and RUAF in partnership with local organizations between 2013 and 2017. The project, called Facilitating Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture in Gaza, worked to increase income for men and women engaged in small-scale urban and peri-urban farming. GUPAP is based in Gaza City and continues to support agricultural livelihoods in the area.
