The Counselling Centre has a volunteer counsellor complement of social workers, social work interns, and students studying psychology and/or social work, and lay counsellors. The Centre has a national database. A key outcome of this database is to improve and expand data collection mechanisms, improve the availability of data to inform effective programming and monitoring and synchronize reporting of data for all the lines, which will strengthen the efficacy of our services and referral mechanisms and immediately identify gaps that limit quality service delivery. LifeLine/ChildLine Namibia is hosting the first of its kind reporting portal on the website. The National Reporting Portal for Online Child sexual Abuse Material is there to sensitise the public to anonymously report child sexual abuse material and ensure the material is taken down from online platforms. The crisis line established in 1980 was manned by a group of dedicated and well-trained volunteers. Today this line is still accessible to the public.
