Mosan Center for Special Needs was established in 1993 by the Rural Development Association in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon. As a daycare and boarding center it provides free education, therapy, skills development, and recreation to children and young adults with special needs, along with guidance to their families. It is a licensed NGO registered with the Lebanese Ministry of Interior.

Yet people with special needs are abused, exploited and excluded by the societies they live in and are deprived of a sense of self-worth because they lack the opportunity to learn and grow and do not receive adequate care. As a daycare and boarding center, MOSAN enables the full participation in society of children and young adults with special needs in the Tyr district by providing them with free therapy, education, skills development, recreation, and guidance to guardians and families to develop their sense of independence and self-worth.
