Our pet retention program focuses on keeping pets and people together. In 2022, Pawsitive Alliance continued partnerships with groups that work with the homeless. The Seattle area has the third highest rate of homelessness in the country and up to 10% of homeless individuals have pets. Pawsitive Alliance works with groups that provide medical care and pet care items to homeless pet caretakers, and we provide free pet food and supplies resources to those individuals who need assistance with training or behavioral issues to reduce owner surrenders to local rescues and shelters.
