Very disappointing

Usually at this time of the year I am looking forward to the Thursford Christmas Show but after last year I definitely will not be booking tickets this year. The show was a big disappointment, especially the compere who was telling very smutty jokes which were totally unsuitable for the many children in the audience. Many of the acts which were performed on the left hand side of the stage were totally out of sight for people who were sitting on the right who had to watch them on a screen. The tickets are very expensive and you do not expect to watch a large part of the show on a screen. Many of the acts didn't even have a Christmas theme which was so disappointing as it is advertised as a Christmas Spectacular. In the interval when we purchased a coffee and a tea we were given two half filled small cardboard cups which had been lined up at the back of the counter with cardboard plates on top. They had obviously been poured out in advance and were barely warm. The contents of both cups wouldn't have even filled one cup. The cost of these were £5.50 and we had to drink them standing up. I have been to the show for many, many years but unfortunately I will never be going again.

It really was incredible I was blown away by the show . However a couple of things to consider- need more toilets for during the interval and need air con in the auditorium as it was so warm in there

Thursford Christmas Spectacular

Went to the afternoon show 30th November, a truly wonderful, dazzling, sparkling show, better than any West End show, in my opinion.

Thursford Christmas Spectacular

A very good show, top class performers, interesting gift shops to browse round. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole afternoon. The only reason I gave a 4* is because when a "speciality" act performed at one end of the stage we could not see it very well because the screens were not used this year except for the organist. Also the premier seats were not "stepped" and as we sat at the back of the section it made viewing a bit more difficult. However an excellent show I would see again.
