We distribute diapers in collaboration with 60 partner agencies in communities of need and help families who require emergency diaper assistance. The families we serve receive snap and wic nutritional program services, tanf, social security and medicaid, assistance from human service agencies, utilize free and subsidized childcare centers and food pantries. They reside in shelters, and mother-child housing programs, are single parents, domestic violence survivors, and are living with mental illness. As the only long island member of the national diaper bank network, we work collaboratively with fellow diaper banks across the nation, secure diapers and wipes through their proprietary diaper purchasing program, and advocate for families on a national level to enact change. We became a member agency of the baby2baby network, which provides children living in poverty with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. We raised awareness during national diaper need awareness week and hosted free diaper distribution events in bridgehampton, hempstead, patchogue, huntington station, and in roslyn at the junior league of long island. Over 75,000 diapers were distributed at these events. We end 2022 by marking a milestone in distributing our 2 millionth diaper, impacting over 125,000 babies
