The Association of Refugee Women in Uganda (AORW-U) is a registered, women-led non-governmental organization founded by refugee women from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Burundi, Rwanda, and Somalia. Initially formed as a self-help group for Congolese refugees, AORW-U has grown into a prominent advocate for women's rights, economic empowerment, and resilience among refugee and host communities across Uganda.
