The Associa-Med (Internal Interns Association of Students of the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis) was founded in 1989 to give impetus, more than necessary, in community life, hitherto non-existent in the Faculty medicine of Tunis. This is primarily a non-governmental organization, non-profit whose main purpose is to strengthen active and effective participation of the students. The Associa-Med became a full member of IFMSA (Internationnal Federation of Medical Students' Associations ) in 1999. in October 2011, members adopted the draft is "regionalization", creating four regional representatives Associa-Med Tunisia in the four medical schools. The name of the Associa-Med became: Tunisian Association of Interns and Trainees of Medical Students. It has an executive board composed of 5 members and 10 active committees. …

A number of students joining the Associa-Med continues to increase year on year, reaching 2000 members in 2011-2012. It currently consists of four regional offices full Tunis and Monastir two candidates regional offices. Sousse and Sfax Each regional office consists of an executive board of 7 members and 12 active committees: six internal committees and external committees 6 ..
