BETA Lebanon is Lebanon's first no-kill animal shelter and rescue organization, founded in 2004. It rescues abused and abandoned animals — including victims of illegal wildlife trade — and cares for dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, monkeys, and other animals. BETA pioneered Lebanon's first TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) program in cooperation with local municipalities and in 2021 opened a state-of-the-art shelter built to the highest international standards. The organization rehomes cats and dogs globally and campaigns to combat illegal wildlife trafficking, puppy farms, and animal cruelty.
To provide a safe haven for all rescue animals whilst striving to find the loving, permanent homes that they deserve, and to use education and direct action to prevent animal overpopulation and cruelty, actively working towards a society that treats all animals with compassion.
