Beginning in July, the COVID-19 pandemic was sufficiently controlled that Mayday Space was able to return to renting out our space for local community groups and nonprofit organizations to use for their in-person activities. Groups booked the space for a variety of events including parties, strategic planning retreats, workshops, theater rehearsals, membership meetings, and more. Serving this function is a key part of our mission, as it allows us to build the movement for social justice by bringing groups together and providing a needed resource (space!). Most groups booked the space at a sliding scale hourly rate, while a few entered into longer-term partnerships with Mayday Space and paid a monthly amount.
