Between 1979 and 1991, Concern worked with Cambodian refugees in the Thai border camps. It established full presence in Cambodia in 1991 implementing a relief, repatriation and rehabilitation programme. Since then Concern has implemented community development, microfinance, community forestry and livelihood programming in Cambodia. Currently Concern works in Siem Reap, Pursat, Kompong Chhnang, Kompong Cham provinces focussing on the areas of livelihoods and building the capacity of local NGO partners and Commune Councils.
