Because many species of parrots can easily outlive their human caretakers, we think that the "breeding for profit" practice needs to end. We will work tirelessly towards this end. The sanctuary is set up so that birds can fly and land in almost all of the rooms. Living in Michigan means that they will only have access to the sun and fresh air for about seven months of each year, but we will get them outside when the weather permits.
