Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Integrierte Versorgung im Gesundheitswesen e. V. (DGIV) ist ein deutschlandweit agierender Verein mit der Zielsetzung, die Integrierte Versorgung in der medizinischen, pflegerischen und sozialen Betreuung als Regelfall durchzusetzen. Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Integrierte Versorgung im Gesundheitswesen e.V. wurde am 26. September 2003 in Berlin gegründet. Ziel der Gründungsmitglieder war es, die Integrierte Versorgung als alternative Versorgungsform zur damaligen Regelversorgung zu entwickeln und letztendlich durchzusetzen. Die DGIV legt deshalb ihr Augenmerk neben der weiteren Qualifizierung und Ausprägung der Versorgungsform gem. §§ 140a SGB V heute auch auf die Durchsetzung der Integrierten Versorgung als gesundheitspolitisches Prinzip in allen Bereichen des Gesundheitswesens, sowohl inner- als auch außerhalb der derzeitigen Regelversorgung.
