Established in 1993 DMEC’s goals are, 1. To act as an organization that promotes goodwill, tolerance, understanding and harmony amongst people of diverse ethnic cultures in Dunedin. 2. To support the rights and responsibilities of ethnic and individual’s groups to enjoy opportunities and have equitable access to, and equitable share of the resources that local and national government manages on behalf of the communities. 3.
