I just wanted to pass on how impressed we were with Gail and Sunil who examined our L6 today.The year have been fulsome with their praise saying that although they were very nervous, especially those isolating, their kind and supportive manners put them at ease. I also had a text from a member of staff telling me not to worry as she felt they were in exceptionally safe and caring hands!It is good to know that whatever the situation your examiners always manage to put them at ease, whilst paradoxically giving them an exceptionally tough workout!

We had to conduct our ESB exams online, which was far from ideal. However our examiner was so patient and helpful; she arranged a practice session the day before to test the tech. Teams is such a drain on laptop batteries that by the end of a session lasting over 4 hours we were down to 2 working computers and 1 mike, but we made it through and all candidates performed well. That said, I would not want to repeat the online experience in the future, but the star of the show was Janet, our assessor!

The communication and professionalism at all levels of the organisations have been excellent. ESB has been a wonderful experience for our children and the assessments have been so beneficial for building self-confidence and nurturing the skills which our children have in speaking and listening.

We chose to add the Level 3 Certificate in Speech (Grade 8) to our KS5 Enrichment programme this year and it has been our best addition to date. The whole ESB team have been a constant source of support, advice and guidance throughout what has been a tricky year. Our Assessor (Rhydian) was amazing on the day and contacted us beforehand to ensure all remote systems were working. It is an honour to be one of their 70/70 schools and have our students bank vital UCAS points as well as public speaking skills.
