この法人は、人口減少・少子高齢化・気候変動・感染症との共存等により変容するこれからの地域社会における住民自治・地域自治の重要性を再認識し、丹波地域をはじめとする中山間地の地域運営組織・市民活動団体等への支援とその担い手づくりを行うとともに、自治体との協働や調査・研究を通して、住民自治・地域自治の再興と持続可能な地域社会の創造に寄与することを目的とする。
