The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) was formed in 1986 by a group of parents and professionals and registered as a national voluntary charitable organisation on 3 March 1987. It provides education, care and protection for people with autism and their families, and has established 14 Early Intervention Programmes and 3 Vocational Programmes at centres across the country. NASOM's goal is to offer lifelong support, from early childhood through to adult vocational life.
To advocate for the rights of people with autism and in doing so provide opportunities for them to learn and lead a productive and fulfilling life.
