About
Teach For Nigeria develops leaders committed to expanding educational opportunity for Nigerian children. It recruits graduates and professionals for a two-year fellowship teaching in underserved schools. Fellows receive pedagogical and leadership development, while alumni are supported to pursue long-term systemic change in education.
To build a new generation of credible, accountable and ethical leaders and changemakers who will advance educational equity and excellence in Nigeria.
Teach For Nigeria was co-founded by Olanike Akerele-De Souza, Segun Olukoya and Ayodele Olajiga. Its first fellowship cohort began in 2017. It was created to address educational inequity and the cycle of poverty associated with inadequate access to excellent education.
