Die Viva Equality gUG ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation, die sich bundesweit für Chancengleichheit und gesellschaftliche Teilhabe von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Familien einsetzt. Schwerpunkt ist die BuT-Beratung (Bildung und Teilhabe), ein Informations- und Unterstützungsangebot, das Familien mit geringem Einkommen hilft, staatliche Leistungen für Bildung, Freizeit und soziale Teilhabe in Anspruch zu nehmen. Im Rahmen der Interessenvertretung gegenüber Bundestag, Bundesministerien, Landesregierungen sowie kommunalen und fachpolitischen Gremien werden insbesondere folgende Tätigkeiten ausgeübt: Aufklärung und Sensibilisierung von Abgeordneten, Fachreferaten und Ministerien über bestehende Hürden beim Zugang zu BuT-Leistungen sowie über Reformbedarfe zur Verbesserung der Wirksamkeit des Bildung- und Teilhabepakets.
