Na sua atividade a instituição encontra-se comprometida no contributo com projetos de apoio às pessoas com estas características e outras, associadas a multideficiências graves. A ANPAR tem como principal missão promover a melhoria da qualidade de vida e o bem-estar físico e emocional das pessoas com Rett e suas famílias. Procura atuar em vários setores (educacionais, médico, jurídico-social) pela implementação de ações e projetos de carácter informativo (sensibilização para a doença) e interventivo (criação de apoios e respostas sociais).
